Reports to: Sales Manager or Regional Sales Head
Job Summary:
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships within a designated territory. This role requires meeting clients in person to present and sell IT solutions, such as software products, cloud services, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity tools. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of IT products, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to achieve sales targets in a competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition:
- Identify and prospect potential clients in the assigned territory.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with key decision-makers to introduce IT solutions and services.
- Solution Selling:
- Assess clients’ business needs and provide customized solutions based on the company's products.
- Educate clients on product features, benefits, and technical specifications.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders.
- Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover further sales opportunities.
- Sales Strategy Execution:
- Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies for maximizing market penetration and client reach.
- Track and report on sales activities, updating CRM tools with leads, contacts, and client communications.
- Market Research:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and changes in customer preferences.
- Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams based on field insights.
- Sales Targets:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the management team.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.
- Product Knowledge:
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company’s product offerings and industry developments.
- Attend training sessions and technical workshops as required.
- Customer Support Liaison:
- Act as the first point of contact for post-sales support, collaborating with customer service teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure customer satisfaction to foster repeat business and referrals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the IT industry or with technology solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales management tools.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
- Strong understanding of IT products, services, and industry trends.
