We are looking for a passionate and driven business manager to lead day-to-day operations of our struggling small business, grow our brand, support our artistic and environmental goals, and steer us towards significant growth and profitability.

We need a hands-on leader who can wear multiple hats, from strategic planning to day-to-day operations, with a keen eye for identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Team Management
Build and manage a team, foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Streamline existing processes and implement efficient operational procedures to reduce costs and improve productivity.
Oversee daily operations, including inventory, production schedules, and vendor relationships.
Coordinate and supervise all team members, artisans, and vendors.
Develop efficient workflows for sourcing, upcycling, and product development.
Sales & Marketing
Manage in-store and online sales, promotions, and customer engagement.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns, strategies, including social media, email campaigns, and events.
Identify new sales opportunities (markets, fairs, galleries, collaborations).
Build strong customer relationships.
Creative & Product Oversight
Collaborate with artists and designers and curate product lines.
Ensure consistency in quality, pricing, and branding across all product categories.
Identify market trends and help curate collections that resonate with our target audience and financial goals.
Sustainability & Community Engagement
Promote and track environmentally friendly practices.
Build relationships with local artists, environmental organizations, and community groups.
Organize or participate in workshops, exhibitions, events.
Financial & Administrative Tasks
Manage budgeting, book-keeping, and financial reporting.
Monitor inventory, supplier costs, product margins, and product costs.
Ensure compliance with local business regulations and sustainability standards.
Identify areas for cost reduction and revenue generation.
Qualifications
Proven experience in business operations or a creative enterprise.
Passion for sustainability, art, and handmade or upcycled goods.
Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and social media marketing.
Creative problem-solver with an eye for design and innovation.
Preferred but Not Required
Knowledge of sustainable materials and upcycling techniques.
Background in fine arts, design or environmental studies.
Experience of using various sales, finance, design related software like Tally, Canva, Corel etc.
