Job Description for QC Chemist

Responsibilities:

  • To conduct QC tests of raw material, semi-finished & finished products.
  • To improve existing products to reduce cost, improve performance, or simplify manufacturing and/or any research task being given.
  • Making sure that data is accurately recorded in accordance with guidelines.
  • Keeping up to date with production and technical developments.
  • Assist Head Chemist in planning and executing laboratory tests.
  • Conduct chemical experiments under the guidance of Head Chemist.
  • Document test procedures and results and report the same to the Head Chemist.
  • Maintain the laboratory clean, safe and organized.
  • Coordinate, plan and perform daily laboratory functions.
  • Analyse root causes for problems and suggest corrective actions.
  • Develop or revise the test analytical methods to ensure quality, productivity, and consistency.
  • Identify and report new equipment needs to Supervisor.

Requirements:

·        Minimum 3 Years of experience in Fertilizer/Chemical industry (Mandatory).

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques
