Job Description

The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers. 

 

1. Role and Responsibilities

Job Title: Sales Executive - Solar Sales (Commission-Based)

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing.
  • Customer Engagement: Meet with potential clients, understand their needs, and provide suitable solar solutions.
  • Sales Presentations: Present and demonstrate the benefits of solar energy systems to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit sales proposals and quotations tailored to customer needs.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and close sales deals.
  • Post-Sales Follow-Up: Ensure client satisfaction post-installation and maintain relationships for potential future sales.
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting solar sales.
  • Reporting: Daily report sales activities (DSR), leads, conversions, and revenue generated to the management.

 

2. Commission Structure

Commission Model:

  • 2% for sales up to ₹10 lakh per month.
  • 5% for sales between ₹10 lakh and ₹20 lakh per month.
  • 7% for sales above ₹20 lakh per month.

Incentives/Bonuses:

  • Quarterly Bonus: An additional 1% bonus on total sales if the target is exceeded by 25% or more.
  • Long-Term Contract Bonus: ₹5,000 bonus for each client that signs a maintenance contract for 3 years or more.

Payment Schedule:

  • Monthly Payout: Commissions will be paid monthly after the client has made payment for the solar installation.

 

3. Selection Criteria:

  • Sales Experience: Prior experience in solar sales industry.
  • Track Record: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the solar market, products, and regulatory environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and be driven by commission-based incentives.

 

4. Training and Onboarding

Product Training:

  • Technical Knowledge: We will provide in-depth training on the solar products, including how they work, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Sales Process: Teach the sales process from lead generation to closing and after-sales service.
