About the job • Position Title - Area Sales Manager-General Trade (Traditional) • Location – Chennai (Will accountable for the entire North India) • Total Experience - 7 to 12 Years (Minimum in Similar Role) • Qualification - MBA (Full Time is compulsory) • Reporting to the Business Development Manager • Direct Reporting - Yes (5 to 7 On Roll Employees approx.) • Languages Known- English & HIndi • Industry- FMCD/Consumer Durable/ Cosmetic/ Beauty Care / Skin Care/ Personal Care Product Key Responsibilities:- Sales • Give sales plan category/product/channel wise- per month after discussion with key distributors and dealers • Daily tracking of sales plan, expectation vs. reality, billing (value achievement of every channel) • Tracking and updating Daily Sales Report • Ensuring Product Mix in the sales and indenting for products • Ensuring new products and launches are communicated to the market, and the launches are happening on time • Monitoring Competitor's activity in the Market • Monitoring effective use of POP materials along with Coo’s products prominently displayed at all retail shops • Ensure Company objectives are being fulfilled in a month and cascade the same to team members: working with Field Force in the Market • Provide effective customer service • Identifying new distributors and markets to start or develop new markets/territories, understand why the brand is not available • Ensuring new channel mix in the portfolio- to reduce dependency on distributors • Coordinating with the Depot/Logistics on a day-to-day basis in terms of getting the right Product Mix, and dispatch of goods to respective towns/distributors. Cost Control • Control on outstanding: tracking payments/outstanding from channel partners • Ensuring timely payment from Distributors as per the stipulated time given to them. Promotional Activities • Monitoring Schemes in Retail Trade and Distributors. • Monitoring and implementing successfully promotional activities from time to time • Monitoring competitor activity and reporting the same • Addressing and resolving issues from the dealer/distributor point of view. Subordinate Development • Providing on-the-job training to subordinates Remarks- • Good Communication Skills & clarity of thought in terms of Sales Process. • Looking for a stable candidate (Frequent job changes will be not considered) • Strong Exposure to Channel Sales & Rural Market exposure is compulsory) • Team Handling is compulsory (Compulsory to handle On Roll Team Only) • Strong data analytical skills (Working knowledge of Excel is essential) • Willingness to travel a minimum of 7 to 9 days • Candidates should have handled a minimum business of 50 Crs PA & above will be considered. • Candidates with 30 to 45 Days' notice period will be only considered.
