Key Responsibilities: Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services necessary for production. Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability. Negotiation: Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous deals. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and forecast future supply needs to avoid shortages or overstock situations. Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all purchased materials meet the required quality standards and specifications. Cost Management: Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and prepare regular reports on purchasing metrics. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organizational Skills: High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP). Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the electrical transformer industry or related manufacturing sectors.
