Job Title: Commis II – Indian Cuisine

Reports To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef

Job Summary:

Assist in preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook Indian curries, tandoori items, breads, and rice.
  • Follow recipes and portion standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Ensure food quality, freshness, and hygiene compliance (HACCP).
  • Assist in mise en place and daily kitchen operations.
  • Support senior chefs and help train junior staff when needed.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management (preferred).
  • 1–3 years’ experience in an Indian kitchen.
  • Knowledge of Indian spices, gravies, and tandoor operation.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willing to work flexible shifts.
